Line 1. Study of hydrogen generation on the surface of different metals and alloys in conditions of high temperature and high concentration.
Within the research group one research field is the study of hydrogen generation on the surface of different metals and alloys that constitute an absorption machine of lithium bromide in conditions of high temperature and high concentration of LiBr. For that, different electrochemical techniques (potentiodynamic and potentiotatic tests, open circuit potentials and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) and digital analysis of image are used. The aim is to obtain the conditions that minimize the production of hydrogen to avoid the loss of vacuum of the machines and its consequent loss of efficiency. The study is carrying out, among others, in an electrochemical cell patented by the group IEC, P-200803389.
