Line 12. Advanced oxidation electrochemical processes
This research line consists in the development of new electrode materials for its application to advanced oxidation processes for the removal of emerging contaminants. These new electrode materials are based on highly resistant microporous metal oxides that allow working at very high potentials, so that the complete mineralization of refractory organic compounds is possible. On the other hand, the microporous structure of these materials provides a large reaction surface area.
