Line 11. Metals recovery by electrochemical techniques
In this research line, electrochemical reactors with and without membrane are applied to the recovery of metals from different effluents. Some examples of application are the recovery and recycling of zinc from the
spent pickling baths of the hot dip galvanizing industries, or the recovery of antimony from wastes and effluents generated during the pyrometallurgical processing of copper sulphide minerals and during the
hydrometallurgical treatment of low copper content mixed minerals (a mixture of copper sulphide and copper oxide minerals from mining tailings).
